In December 2022, a series of seminars for TNTU students has been organized to improve their skills and cross-sectoral competencies.

As TNTU is committed to student-centered teaching, problem-based learning was used as working methodology for seminars. Topics covered in these seminars included Problem Solving Flow using TRIZ tools and key concepts, Use of Virtual Reality Tools in Smart Manufacturing, Digital twins: Digitalization and Sustainability for Smart Manufacturing. These seminars are just the first steps in many benefits our students and the regional innovation ecosystem will obtain from TNTU’s participation in SMILE project.  After improving their problem-solving skills in such an innovation-intensive field as smart manufacturing, students and academics will be able to cooperate more effectively with entrepreneurs and understand processes, approaches and tendencies of smart manufacturing, intensify technology transfer and develop new collaborations with SMEs.
